From China to Israel, and from Cyprus to Venezuela, TAHAL has provided specific know-how and services in the field of desalination, including planning, design and installation of plants ranking among the largest in the world (capacities of up to 100 million m3/year), producing drinking water that is highly competitive in terms of unit price and quality. The plants, based largely on the reverse osmosis (RO) process, may be either full-scale or compact units. In the context of its activities in this field, TAHAL maintains close contacts with the desalination industry and with research institutions throughout the world.
